Welcome to the online photography gallery of Nick Psomiadis, the visionary behind NIKART photography, established in 2011. Here, I invite you to explore a world captured through my lens.
With a passion for photography that ignited in 1986 when I acquired my first SLR film camera, the Zenit 12xp, I embarked on a transformative journey. Despite its weight resembling that of a brick, this Soviet-built camera offered me a unique creative outlet, changing my perspective on the world. The process of loading film, advancing the lever, and hearing the satisfying clunk of the shutter became the foundation of my photographic endeavors.
Photography has remained an integral part of my life over the years. I habitually carry my camera, always seeking those fleeting moments that encapsulate the essence of a scene. In the summer of 2011, I made the decision to transform my passion into a profession, giving rise to NIKART photography.
Today, I present to you the culmination of my photographic journey - high-resolution fine art prints showcasing the beauty of the world, both near and far. Utilizing a professional Fujifilm GFX digital camera and employing world-class Epson large format inkjet printers, I ensure that every image comes to life with remarkable precision. The combination of pigment inks on archival premium photographic papers, certified by Wilhelm Imaging Research for a print permanence of 100+ years, guarantees longevity and durability.
Every aspect of the process takes place within my studio, where I meticulously craft each print. By adopting a minimalist approach, I enhance the visual impact of my art. Simple matting and framing, available in elegant black or white-coated timber molding, allow the photograph to take center stage. This streamlined workflow, coupled with minimal overheads, enables me to offer you truly affordable luxury fine art.
